Our stunning El Camino is going to make its new owner very proud. Power steering is standard equipment as are power-assisted front disc/rear drum brakes that provide plenty of stopping power. It is set up with an Edelbrock 4V carburetor, sounds strong through dual exhaust and backed by a GM 3-speed automatic. Horsepower is provided by a 350ci GM crate motor that was installed approximately 12,000 miles ago. This El Camino is equipped with air conditioning, tinted windows, factory gauge package, cruise and tilt wheel. The grey cloth interior was also refreshed in 2012 and is in good condition. Black 18” American Racing alloys mount low-profile Goodyear Eagle radials. The rear quarter panels are fitted with a distinct taillight package, hydraulically assisted fiberglass tonneau cover and full bed liner. Visual accents include dual hood scoops, grill insert, SS body/hood stripes, 'Intimidator' logos, sport mirrors and subtle front/rear air dams. The body was professionally resprayed (2016) in 2-stage 'Monza' Red. Our 1985 El Camino is a unique custom version of this hybrid sedan/pick-up. This model was based on the mid-sized Chevy Malibu with a strengthened chassis design that was slightly longer than the sedan. ![]() However it became a future classic and in 1978, Chevy introduced the 5th generation El Camino. The first-generation El Camino was only built for two years,1959 & 1960.
